What are National Parks?

National Parks are a place where the natural land are under legal protections from a government or a authority. This means it would be illegal to harm the land, such as preventing companies from dumping hazardous waste and ruining the enviorment. National parks also protect the animal that live there as well, having park rangers to survey and patrol the grounds keeping the enviorment safe. There are about 63 parks within the USA as of April 2025. This website will focus on national parks found within the United States of America.

Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska

This is one of 63 national parks, located in Gustavus, Alaska. Glacier Bay coverers about 3.3 million acres of the pure Alaskan wilderness. This park has amazing veiws of woodland and glaciers. Most visitors come from cruise ships offered from companies such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival. The parks has many different walking trails, caves to explore and boat tours with a chance to see sea lions, bears and even whales! Learn more here

Mount Rainier National Park, Washington

This is another one of the many national parks located within the United States of America. Located on Mount Rainier, this park is located in Washington State. Just two hours away from Seattle. This park offers many different sights to see, from walking trails up and down from the mountain to waterfalls along the way and snowy peaks at the top. This destination even has a giant lake where water runs off into it. Learn more here

Yellowstone National Park

This park is one of the largest and most known park. Yellowstone park is 2.2 million acres of wildlife, forests and more. Yellowstone national park has many different services such as on park lodging, camping, and various different events happening year round. Yellowstone also protects different species of animals from fish, bears, some of which are endangered species. Yellowstone also sits on a active geothermal site. Learn more here
